Supportive Mental Health Conversations for Parents
The U.S. Center for Mental Health & Sport (USC-MHS) is the official mental health and wellness partner of USYS and is offering a small-group virtual opportunity for coaches. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
This 4-week, 1-hour-per-week session is an opportunity for soccer coaches, with guidance from USC-MHS Licensed Social Worker Emily Moeller, to talk about how to best protect your own mental health and that of your athletes.
The purpose of the session is to create a comfortable space for coaches to learn more about mental health, how it can affect your role of coaching an athlete, and strategies to provide opportunities for yourselves and your athletes to experience optimum mental wellbeing. Participating coaches will be encouraged to share experiences and contribute to conversations as the group seeks solutions to common challenges related to mental health.
Our series will be held virtually 7:00PM-8:00PM CST on the following Tuesdays: February 7th, 14th, 21st and 28. Program cost is $28.
