DESCRIPTION:An engaging panel of experts with a variety of roles and tangible takeaways for the athletic community regarding gambling & sports wagering.\n\n\nWCC Sports Gambling & Mental Health:\n\n\nA webinar featuring a panel of engaging experts with different roles that will provide tangible takeaways regarding gambling and sports wagering in athletics.\n\n\nThis 1-hour webinar is sponsored by WCC and provided by the U.S. Center for Mental Health & Sport is for the intended target audience of athletics coaches\, staff\, and administrators from all member institutions of WCC. Sports gambling and wagering is a prevalent trend that coaches\, staff\, administrators\, and our athletes must understand how to navigate in order to mitigate risks. These risks may be from direct participation in sports wagering or from others trying to gain beneficial "insider" information. This webinar will feature a panel of engaging experts in the field including a top FBI Agent\, Sport Psychologist\, and an Agency representative providing education and access to support services for gambling addictions. The webinar will include action steps that can be taken to avoid risks\, and resources that can be utilized for assistance when needed. The webinar will also provide insight into the connection between sports gambling and mental health. \nWe look forward to seeing you there!
