PRIVATE EVENT: WCC Accelerate Mental Health (FREE for WCC Members)

September 9 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am PDT

This workshop builds on the ACT! Certification to bring faster change in supporting mental health in intercollegiate sport communities.

This virtual workshop builds on the ACT! Certification to bring about faster change in supporting mental health in intercollegiate sport communities. Determining how to best serve mental health needs at an institution or on a team cannot be based on a one-size-fits-all model. This workshop helps identify unique risk and protective factors present within your institution and/or team that provide barriers from and pathways to members of your community being able to experience thriving mental health. You will then be able to use this information to take steps to align mental health policies with the NCAA Mental Health Best Practices along with a validated model for mentally healthy sport environments. The workshop will provide valuable insight into the needs for mental health support within your institution's athletic community with opportunities to continue to develop action plans around those needs.

Athletics administrators, staff, and coaches from WCC institutions are welcome to attend this interactive and engaging webinar by the U.S. Center for Mental Health & Sport.

We look forward to seeing you there!

"I say put mental health first."

--SIMONE BILES
EVERYONE has mental health. We should never be ashamed to START THE CONVERSATION. Let's end the STIGMA in sport environments. At the U.S. Center for Mental Health & Sport, we are continually looking for more ways to support individuals' mental health regardless of where they currently fall on the mental health continuum. MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!
