No athlete should have to struggle in silence.

Joseph's Story
A conversation helped change Joseph's life.
Joseph was a baseball player who was quietly struggling with his mental health. When he attended an ACT! Mental Health Awareness Certification, he had been self-harming and was making plans to end his life.
During the training, Joseph realized he didn’t have to face what he was experiencing alone. He chose to reach out, and USC-MHS helped connect him with professional support.
Today, Joseph is still here.
His story is a powerful reminder that mental health education can open the door to conversations, connection, and help when it matters most.
There are more athletes like Joseph. Your gift helps us reach them.
If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, call or text 988 or chat at 988lifeline.org. In an immediate emergency, call 911.
